Connie Browning to be featured at Women in Business Luncheon
October 8, 2012 by Mark
Connie Browning, who is the Columbus area Board President for Susan G Komen for the Cure, will be featured at the October Women in Business Luncheon in just over a week’s time. The monthly luncheon will take place at Mount Caramel St. Ann’s Hospital from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm at 500 South Cleveland Avenue in Westerville
The featured charity of the October luncheon meeting will be the GRACE Bear Program. Since the program was first started in 2008, hundreds of women battling breast cancer have been given ‘The Gift of Grace’. The name, ‘Grace’, was selected for the bears to give guidance and show respect and compassion for all those receiving care and struggling with breast cancer.
Events that feature a charity or non-profit organization may use brochure printers to provide information about the cause to the public. Pamphlets, brochures, or flyers may be utilized to raise awareness about a specific cause within the community.
Those in attendance at the October Women in Business luncheon can demonstrate their support for patients battling breast cancer by sponsoring a bear. Family members, friends, and survivors of breast cancer may also sponsor a bear in honor of a survivor or loved one battling breast cancer, or in memory of loved one who has lost the battle with this disease.
With the luncheon scheduled for Wednesday, October 17, the cost to attend is $25 for chamber members. Non-members are also welcome to attend for a $35 charge per person. For further information about the event, or to register, individuals can call the chamber office at 614-882-8917 or visit the Westerville Chamber website.
