Medina High School to host Medina Midwest Showcase

Seventeen middle and high school show choirs will gather at the Medina High School on February 18 for the Medina Midwest Showcase.

This event is a full-day competition in which the show choirs from various schools will compete against each other in front of an expert judging panel. Each show choir will put on a song and dance performance lasting approximately 20 minutes and receive an educational critique from the panel. The critique session was designed to enhance the overall experience of the competitors. The public is welcome to attend the competition, and tickets and all-day passes will be available at the door. All-day passes are $15, while event tickets are $10 each.

Special area events and public school competitions, such as the Medina Midwest Show, often require the printing services of local print companies for such things as programs, announcements and tickets. Local print companies may also be able to provide banner printing, flyer and poster printing for these kinds of events to help raise the public’s awareness of the event and keep them informed of local happenings.

The Medina Midwest Showcase preliminary competition round is scheduled to start at 8 am. At 6 pm, an awards ceremony will be held after all of the school show choirs have performed. The choirs that score in the top six will go on to perform in a final competition at 7 pm. The Medina High School’s Encore Entertainment Company will then perform before the final awards ceremony.
