Compass Homes Inc. earned a total of six gold design awards at the 2012 Parade of Homes showcase, held by the Building Industry Association earlier this month. The company’s showcased home earned gold in the categories of dining room and floor plan design, as well as for exterior and lower level architecture. The company partnered with Blendon Gardens, a local landscape design company, to win top honors in the categories of landscaping, outdoor living area, and front-entry garden.
Events such as the Building Industry Association’s Parade of Homes showcase awards ceremony often use the services of local print companies for flyer printing, poster printing, and other items. In addition, events such as the Parade of Homes, which runs until July 1, may use banner printing to draw attraction to the event or provide those in attendance with information.
Compass Homes’ showcased house measures 4,243 square feet and bears a price tag of almost $520,000. In addition to the gold awards, the company also received three silver awards in the categories of great rooms and family rooms, first impressions, and owners’ suites.
The ceremony featured the presentation of awards in a total of 14 categories. Other winners included Weaver Custom Homes, who received three gold awards and one silver. Miller Troyer Custom Homes, Maronda Homes, 3 Pillar Homes, and Fisher Homes also received first place awards.
The Parade of Homes runs until the end of the month and is located just off Lewis Center Road at the Meadows. Twelve homes are featured in the event.
