May 10, 2012 by James
Lebanon Ford will present the seventh annual UC Women’s Football Clinic at the Nippert Stadium and Richard E Lindner Center this summer.
This year’s clinic is hosted by Barb Jones, the wife of Butch Jones, the 2011 Big East Coach of the Year. Other local sponsors include numerous restaurants, a local print company and a local newspaper. Pepsi is also a participating sponsor of the University of Cincinnati Women’s Football clinic.
Proceeds from the evening will go to the Barrett Cancer Center, located in the University Hospital, to benefit breast cancer research. Funds will be distributed in the cancer center’s educational, clinical and research programs. In the last few years, the women’s football clinic has raised more than $50,000 to benefit breast cancer awareness and research at the Barrett Cancer Center.
Individuals from the University of Cincinnati coaching staff will be available at the event to lead defense and offense sessions, as well as provide a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the Bearcats’ football program. Dinner will be provided by Panera Bread. The evening will include a gift bag valued at over $100 and happy hour before dinner.
Registration for the event is $75 per person. Individuals must register by June 4 to receive the special price. Walk-ups and those registering after that day will be charged $100 per person. Space for the event is limited to 300. The annual event is scheduled for June 7 at 5:00 pm and will continue until 9:30 pm. The Richard E. Lindner Center is located at 2751 O’Varsity Way, just next to Nippert Stadium.
