Target near Fairview Park to add produce

January 24, 2013 by

The Target store in Strongsville, located just south of Fairview Park, will be one of the first Target stores in the northeast Ohio area to start offering a variety of produce, including fresh fruit vegetables and meats, at its store. The produce section in the Strongsville store is currently under construction and is scheduled to open to the public this March.

Courtney Majewski, who is the guest services team leader for the Strongsville Target store, spoke of her excitement and also reported that all Target stores in the area will eventually offer a produce section. She also stated that renovations were getting underway for a produce section at the Fairview Park location.

When large companies and retailers make changes to the items that are offered in their stores, changes to various printed materials may also be necessary. Area print companies may be needed to provide catalog printing, flyer printing, and other printing services to reflect the changes in the store and their offerings.

The new produce sections in the Fairview Park and Strongsville Targets, as well as others, will offer fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as packaged meats including fresh ground beef, pork, and chicken.

The company reported in a news release that Target’s addition of produce began in 2008 at two stores located in Minnesota. The company decided to give it a try after receiving numerous requests from valued customers.

In addition to the produce section, scheduled to open March 23, other areas of the Target in Strongsville are also being renovated. Various departments in the store will be moved or redesigned.
