Run for Help

On Saturday, June 30th Lorain County will be hosting “Run for Help”. This event will take place at the Bur Oak Pavilion in the Black River Reservation located at 1350 Ford Road in Elyria, Ohio. Registration for this event begins at 7:30 am.
This event consists of a 5 kilometer walk/run that begins at the Bur Oak Pavilion promptly at 9:00am. This run is being organized by Hermes Sports and Events, and all walkers and runners must pre-register for the run which costs $20 per person. Registration cheques must be made payable to Hermes Sports and Events and mailed to 1624 St. Clair Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio 44114. Those who do not register in advance will need to pay $30 per person the day of the event with a cheque made payable to the American Red Cross, 2929 West River Road in N. Elyria, Ohio 44035.. All pre-registered participants attending this walk/run will receive a free t-shirt, although those who register the day of the event will not. There are several age categories available to runners of this race with awards being provided based on each category. Proceeds from this event will go to the Lorain Country Red Cross Emergency Services. This promises to be a fun day for all with many other activities taking place.
