Salsa on the Square comes to Cincinnati

August 2, 2012 by

Whether a person likes to “Cha-Cha” or watch others dancing to the lively Latin beat, Cincinnati is the place to be through August 30. Every Thursday, in the heart of Fountain Square located at 5th and Vine Streets, salsa dancers and bands heat up the evening with skilled performances from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. As the experts’ dancing skills are enjoyed, there will also be expert instructors on hand to teach interested attendees basic steps on an impromptu basis.

Salsa on the Square launched its first summer in 2008 and since has drawn close to 30,000 attendees.

Sponsors include PNC Bank and P & G. Media partner KISS 107 returns to the 2012 event after participating last year. Many local and well-known bands are scheduled through August including Azucar Tumbao, Kandela, Son del Caribe, Brian Andres Afro Cuban Cartel, and Tropicoso.

Flyer, poster and banner printing are often required printing services for events of this type held in Cincinnati. Posters are an inexpensive method of communication to be used for special events as they are generally printed on one side and can be hung in various strategic locations to attract attention. Flyers are used as hand-outs throughout many sources and banners state band names, locations, vendor and directional information.

Parking is available at the Square. Both adult drinks and general non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase. These sizzling summer salsa events are family-friendly and everyone is invited to attend. For more information or to contact event officials, visit the Fountain Square or Salsa on the Square website.
