Cincinnati serves up tennis tournament

The Western & Southern Open Cincinnati is scheduled for August 11-19, 2012 and will take place at Lindner Family Tennis Center on Courseview Drive in Mason, just a few miles outside of central Cincinnati.

The city of Cincinnati is proud of the tennis tournament, which has been a tradition for over 100 years. It began as a small tennis event at the Avondale Athletic Club and has grown to the World Tour Masters 1000, with nine out of the past 10 champions holding the number one career rankings.

Many special events take place during the tournament, including a casting call which auditions children between the ages of 7 and 17 to sing the National Anthem at the event. Contestants will participate in two rounds. The first phase involves uploading audition videos to the casting call’s Facebook page with the special requirement that the singer is using a cappella format in the video. Judges will select a number of singers for a live performance with a celebrity judge panel. The venue for the final phase of the contest will be the Fountain Square, where family and friends are invited to attend and enjoy the various activities such as prize giveaways, along with the convenience of buying tickets to the W & S Open.

Cincinnati print companies are working with the various organizers of this huge event in providing services such as banner, flyer and catalog printing for the vendors, sponsors, and activity producers.
