Cincinnati residents welcome return of market

Spring is finally here after a long, wet winter, and Cincinnati, Ohio, residents are ready to welcoming the season by shopping at anderson Farmers Market.

The Market’s sixth season is scheduled to open Saturday, May 25, at the Anderson Center Station, located at 7832 Five Mile Road in Cincinnati. For those who just cannot wait, an indoor market opened Saturday, April 27 and will run until May 18.

Vendors include old favorites, as well as organizations that are taking part for the first time this year. Among the returning favorites are Back Acres Farm, Back Yard Orchards, and Shadeau Bread. Vendors new to the market include Happy Chicks Bakery, Urban Greens, and Tree Hugger Company.

In addition to shopping, market visitors can also enjoy special events presented by the Market for their enjoyment. These include the Grand Opening celebration on May 25, which features a petting zoo, live band, a guest chef and various giveaways; a salsa competition on August 17 and a Fall Festival on September 14. Other events include a bike rodeo, and a celebration of the zucchini. There is sure to be something for everyone.

Since the Market provides an opportunity for shoppers to visit many different vendors – some of whom they may not know – the organizers might consider working with flyer printing services to create a comprehensive flyer for distribution at the Market, perhaps listing all the vendors and what they sell, as well as providing a map to their locations.
