Summertime fun is just around the corner as the months continue to warm up and the sun shines down upon us! Visions of waterpark slides and roller coasters dance merrily in the heads of kids and adults alike. Kings Island, located just north of Cincinnati, recently announced that it will be hiring seasonal employees for the amusement area and new waterpark. The park plans to hire approximately 4,000 new employees for the 2012 season. Those interested in applying can submit an online application at King Island’s website. Positions the park will be hiring for include lifeguards, security, rides, entertainment and food services. Applicants must be at least 15 years old.

The warm months of spring and summer offer a number of opportunities for outdoor fun and entertainment. Many local organizations and groups in and around the Cincinnati area plan trips to Kings Island during the summer months. Many of these organizations announce these summertime activities by drawing up posters or a flyer, printing them and distributing them throughout the community.

The Kings Island amusement park will open for weekend operation on Saturday, April 28. It will be closed to the public the following Sunday for a private event, but it will reopen weekend operations the following Friday. Daily operation of the amusement park will begin on May 11.

New to Kings Island this year is the much-anticipated waterpark. The Soak City Waterpark will open Saturday, May 26. Admission to the waterpark is free with admission to the Kings Island amusement park. The Kings Island amusement and waterpark are owned by Cedar Fair Entertainment Co.
