Cincinnati gallery to host fiber arts show

Cincinnati residents who enjoy fabric arts have a chance to see some beautiful examples at an upcoming show at Gallery Veronique, located at 11324 Montgomery Road.

The show is entitled ‘Material Matters’, and features fiber arts done by members of the organization Contemporary Quilt and Fiber Artists, which is comprised of local artists who are passionate about textile arts, and who support each other as they explore their artistic abilities, so it would not be surprising if digital business cards were exchanged as it was being put together.

Members of the group have been recognized at both national and international levels, and many have won awards. They are often featured in publications and are greatly sought-after as instructors. The pieces in this exhibit cover a variety of styles, from abstract works to realistic representations, as well as featuring both two-dimensional and three-dimensional works.

The show begins with a reception on Thursday, May 23, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. The gallery’s regular hours are 10:00 am – 6:00 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, while it stays open an hour later on Thursdays and closes an hour earlier on Saturdays. The show opens May 23 and runs through June 20.

The show’s organizers and gallery personnel will no doubt want to draw the greatest number of viewers possible, so they might consider working with brochure printers to create a piece suitable for mailing. The gallery might want to explain its mission in general for people who have not visited before.
