The March of Dimes “Bikers for Babies” Motorcycle River Run will take place in Cincinnati on August 11. Registration is scheduled for 10:00 am and the ride will begin promptly at 11:00 am. The ride begins at River Downs Racetrack, taking riders by the river towards Aberdeen, entering Kentucky, and ending at Willie’s Sports Café located in Covington. Totaling approximately 120 miles, all registered bikers will receive a T-shirt and will be eligible for awards at the end of the event.
The March of Dimes is a non-profit organization providing services to an estimated 500,000 babies born prematurely every year, as well as children born with disabling and life-threatening birth defects. Fundraising events such as the motorcycle run provide money for ongoing research by The March of Dimes.
A “Best Ride Motorcycle” show is scheduled after the ride for those riders who completed more than half of the course. Stock or modified bikes are allowed to participate. There is a $10.00 fee to enter the bike in the contest and judges will either be staff or committee members from the March of Dimes.
Many vendors are registered to participate in the bike ride. Cincinnati printing companies will no doubt be supplying print services such as flyer and poster printing to advertise the run throughout the region.
The Bikers for Babies organization has a website which is accepting registration for bikers and vendors as well as donations and sponsorships for participation in the event. For more information, contact them on 513-370-5006.
