Children of all ages, including adults, can get lost in a magical land of dancing mice, marching toys, and leaping snowflakes from December 16 to December 18 at the St. Xavier High School on West North Bend Road. The performance will be put on by the Ballet Theatre Midwest under the direction of artistic director, Daniel R. Simmons.

For more than a century, audiences the world over have been enchanted and entranced by the classic ballet. The Ballet Theatre Midwest adaptation of the story incorporates Hans Christian Anderson’s children’s story, “The Steadfast Tin Soldier” with the beloved characters of E.T.A Hoffman’s “Nutcracker.”

Cincinnati print companies have likely been keeping busy this holiday season as businesses, organizations and others advertise special Christmas events and performances, such as the Ballet Theatre Midwest’s production of this treasured Christmas ballet. In addition to providing poster printing, flyer printing, and other advertisements, print companies are also able to offer program printing, ticket printing, and a variety of other printing services to organizations within and around the Cincinnati area.

This year’s performance features guest artists Ellyn McCarthy and Martin Bell. Both McCarthy and Bell are members of the College-Conservatory of Music dance division at the University of Cincinnati. This year, the Ballet Theatre Midwest will be presenting two morning performances for students, as well as three performances for the public. As a special surprise this year, a Nutcracker Tea will be served before the matinee performance on Saturday.
