Holistic fair scheduled to take place in Canton

In Canton, Ohio, residents have the opportunity to enjoy a Holistic Fair this spring. Holistic teachings, especially in regard to healing, deal with the person as a whole and incorporate social and mental factors, as well as the physical.

The fair will be held at the Merging Hearts Holistic Center, located at 3751 Burrshire Drive, NW, in Canton; phone (330) 415-5199. Among the activities scheduled for the fair are vendors bringing jewelry, crystals, artwork, products for alternative healing therapies, and organic clothing. There will also be speakers, intuitive readers, healing treatments, a drum circle, and a labyrinth program. The last two are scheduled to be held outside and depend on the weather.

Merging Hearts is a group of people who have spent several years creating a holistic center in the Canton area. They first met in people’s homes, but as they grew they moved to a public space. The center is located in the former Burrshire Swim Club, and welcomes anyone who is interested in learning more about holistic practices.

Fair organizers of this variety of event work with brochure printers to create materials that explain holistic practices. The brochures also explain the activities scheduled to take place, as well as listing any vendors that plan to attend. Organizers often work with poster printing experts to make attractive posters to display in Canton store windows and elsewhere.

People who are interested in alternative medicine can explore it further on Saturday, April 20, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and again Sunday, April 21, starting at 11 a.m.
