Annual Ohio Mart returns to Akron
October 2, 2012 by Mark
Crafters, vendors, entertainers, and more will all turn out this weekend for the annual Ohio Mart, scheduled to take place at the Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens.
This will be the 46th year for the annual event, which was planned this year by chairperson Fran Sylvas and vice chairperson Elise Bennet. Sylvas said they have been working all year making plans for the event and this year’s Ohio Mart promises to be a fun-filled occasion for the entire family.
In addition to a number of exciting children’s activities, the Ohio Mart will also feature shopping for the adults, entertainment, and food provided by local vendors. In addition to all of the regularly scheduled activities, this year will witness the cleaning out of the estate’s closets as items will be placed up for sale under ‘Vintage Finds and Curious Goods’.
Annual events and activities such as the Ohio Mart often use such advertising methods as poster printing or flyer printing to raise awareness in the community about the activity. In addition, various vendors at such annual occasions may make use of business card printing to pass out information to potential customers in attendance at the activity.
Over 100 crafters and artists are expected to be present at the event. Children’s activities will include face painting, pumpkin carving, and stitchery and various entertainers are also scheduled to perform throughout the weekend. The event will run from October 4 – 7 at the venue at 714 N. Portage Road in Akron.
