Artists in and around the Akron area are gearing up for this year’s University Park Arts Fair and Food Fest. The annual event will be held at Grace Park from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm on Saturday, August 18. Grace Park is located at the corner of Prospect Street and Perkins Street in University Park. The festival was formerly known as the University Park Arts Fair, but has expanded to include the fine art of food.

A number of international cuisines will be prepared by local citizens, as well as a variety of entertaining music, fun activities, fine arts and exciting crafts. More than 100 artists are expected to provide displays at the annual festival. The Fair and Food Fest provides a terrific way for local and regional artists to display and showcase their work to the public, as well as offer those visiting the festival a chance to explore the oldest park in Akron.

Local print companies may find their services are in high demand when community events such as art festivals or other activities are ensuing in the area. Banner printing, poster and flyer printing are often used at such events to draw the public’s attention to the festivities. Local artists and vendors may also require business card printing to provide visitors at the festival information about their services.

Admittance to the festival is free. An abundance of parking will also be available. Those individuals who wish to display their artistic works, sign up as a vendor, or become a sponsor can either call (330) 777-2072 or email info@universityparkartsfair.org.
