Young Professionals to get together in Omaha

January 6, 2013 by

The Young Professionals Summit is presented by the Greater Omaha Young Professionals of the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce. It brings young business professionals together for a day of learning and sharing. Last year, the summit attracted approximately 1,500 attendees.

The day will consist of seminars, a luncheon, and an after party. The keynote speaker of the summit will be Adam Braun of Pencils of Promise – an organization that builds schools in impoverished areas throughout the world. Other speakers will include Lori Stohs and representatives from the Women’s Fund of Greater Omaha.

Seminars will include such topics as ‘The power of integrity’ and ‘Improving the art of conversation’. The featured speaker at the luncheon will be singer, songwriter, and actor John Legend. The 2013 Young Professionals Award will also be presented during lunch and is given to a company that attracts and keeps young professionals. The after party will be held at the Joslyn Art Museum.

Sponsorships for the event are also available, such as purchasing a table of 10 for $1,250 or a $4,000 scholarship which will allow young professionals who do not have the funds to attend the summit free of charge. Organizers are also probably working with Omaha printing companies to prepare for the summit, and there will likely be a need for banner printing or sign printing services.

The 2013 Young Professionals Summit will take place at the Century Link Center Omaha on February 28 from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Tickets are $125 or $75 for lunch only.
