Unique crafts to purchase in Omaha
October 18, 2012 by Sarah
The 30th annual Autumn Festival: an Arts and Crafts Affair will get November underway at the CenturyLink Center. The festival is expected to draw artists and crafters from all over the United States, with approximately 500 in attendance.
It is just one of a series of arts and crafts fairs held annually throughout the country by Huffman Enterprises. The artists and crafters will be selling a large variety of items, including paintings, photographs, jewelry, clothing, toys, home accessories, and pottery. All of the items sold must be handmade by the artisans. In addition, the festival will also feature entertainment, gift certificate giveaways, and food and drink concessions. Those who attend this show will get a good start on their holiday gift-buying. Their friends and family will appreciate receiving something that is both handmade and unique.
Artists and crafters can rent a 10 x 11 booth for $550 and it is then up to the renter to decorate the booth as they like. The organizers of the festival ensure that it is widely advertised, so no doubt those putting on the Omaha show will be working with local printing companies to help market the upcoming festival. It is likely that this will involve advertising in local newspapers, the distribution of flyers to the general community, radio and television commercials, and posters displayed in public areas of the city.
The event will run from November 1 to 4. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, and free for children aged 10 and under. For more information about the show, call 402-331-2889.
