October trade show could be O so productive

Tickets for the 2012 Buy the Big O! Show are now available for $10 or can be obtained free of charge from any of the exhibitors.

The show is a business-to-business trade exhibition in which Omaha business professionals make plans to purchase products and services needed by their companies. There will be over 300 exhibitors at the show, all of whom are members of the Greater Omaha Chamber. They include those who run home businesses, non-profit businesses, entrepreneurs, and larger manufacturers. There will also be demonstrations of products, topical discussions in the Loading Zone, and an Entrepreneur Zone with advice for those who want to start their own businesses. Organizers are calling this Black Wednesday, as they expect large discounts to be offered and a lot of business to be done at the show.

For exhibitors, there are various rental costs of booths. A non-profit or home based business can rent a 10×10 booth for just $450, and other booths are available for prices of everything up to $3,000. It may be worth visiting the show’s website, or that of Omaha Chamber, to see the full list and the corresponding prices.

It is scheduled to take place at the CenturyLink Center on October 17 from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm. In addition to the sales and business done on the day, this will also be an excellent networking opportunity for Omaha experts. Those planning to attend will more than likely be arranging for a new business card printing order in advance, as it is always crucial that cards are up-to-date.
