February 4, 2012 by Sarah
VinNebraska 2012 will take place at the Mutual of Omaha Dome on March 31. It is presented by the vinNebraska Foundation and proceeds will go to support Partnership for our Kids. Tickets are $85.
The event will feature wine samples from 24 wineries and hors d’oeuvres provided by 8 local restaurants; the honorary winery for the event is Heitz Wine Cellars. In addition to sampling their wares, those in attendance will have the chance to talk and network with winery owners, winemakers and wine representatives. There will also be a grand auction and a raffle. The raffle is for a necklace valued at $3450; tickets are $20 each, 3 for $50 and $10 for $100. The auction will featured donated items such as tour packages and vintage wines.
In addition to this event, vinNebraska After-hours will take place at the Midtown Crossing on March 31 from 9 pm. Tickets for this event are $99. This will give you the chance to network with fellow wine lovers and business leaders from Omaha so don’t forget to bring your business card; printing extras will guarantee that you can give a card to everyone you meet. You can place a few business cards in your jacket pocket or in your evening purse.
Partnership for our Kids is an important charity to support. Their mission is “to guide our youth toward academic success.” They offer many programs for children including their goal setting program and their group mentoring program.
