Lyle Lovett to appear at Peabody Opera House
April 24, 2012 by Mark
Lyle Lovett, although well-known for his country music songwriting and singing, is also known for his acting abilities. He has performed in several TV shows and movies in addition to the many concerts he puts on. His first movie appearance was his character of a singer on the beach. He is less known by his doctorate he received at the University of Houston in Humane Letters.
Lyle Lovett made it big back in 1986 and continues to woo the hearts of many. This four-time Grammy Award winner and Best Male Country Vocal Performer will appear at the Peabody Opera House at 8pm. Although Lyle Lovett is widely known for singing Country, he also dabbles in swing, gospel, jazz and blues.
The Peabody Opera House was once known as the Kiel Opera House and opened in 1934. It recently just reopened after an extensive renovation project– complete with a newly constructed entrance—on October 1, 2011. Upon opening last year, Aretha Franklin, Jay Leno, Chuck Berry and many others attended the Peabody Opera House. Other notable names have appeared at the opera house, such as Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra.
The Peabody Opera House is located at 1400 Market St in Downtown St. Louis. Tickets cost between $39 and $75 and are already on sale. For the several Lyle Lovett fans looking for souvenirs after the concert, poster printing services are used extensively to showcase this artist.
