St. Ann to benefit from health care consolidation

Over 100 new jobs are coming to St. Ann within the next three months, as Conifer Health Solutions consolidates its recent acquisitions from the purchase of Dell, Inc.’s revenue cycle business serving hospitals.

Conifer, a billing and collections subsidiary of Dallas-area Tenet Healthcare, is moving the location of three former Dell operations to its service center in St. Ann. Around a dozen workers will be transferred from the nearby Maryland Heights office, as well as around 100 billing and collector jobs relocated from former Dell offices in Bowling Green, Kentucky and Nashville, Tennessee. New business card and stationery printing opportunities are not the only benefits of the deal, however, as Conifer plans to hire locally to fill out its personnel roster.

Dell Services president Steve Schuckenbrock explains:

“Having worked with Conifer and Tenet for many years, we view our combined capabilities as great for the industry and for our shared customers.

“Dell is ranked number one by Gartner in IT Services within the worldwide healthcare sector. While Conifer is acquiring our hospital revenue cycle management business, we plan to leverage our healthcare expertise, proven methodologies, and robust delivery model to continue providing IT solutions to Conifer as it grows its client base.”

Conifer, based in Frisco, Texas, is a 34-year veteran of the healthcare industry, with over 9,000 employees and 500 hospital and healthcare clients. Dell’s previous relationship with Conifer as its IT provider was a major factor in the decision to rearrange assets.
