Youth to be celebrated in annual Ballwin festival
April 27, 2013 by Sarah
Ellisville Elks Lodge #2644 is presenting its annual Youth Day festival this May, featuring all sorts for local revelers to get their teeth into.
Plenty of entertainment will be at hand, including pony rides, a petting zoo, an egg hunt, bounce houses, hot dogs and popcorn, police and SWAT demonstrations, firehouse tours, a clown, and a silent auction – for which local companies will probably be lining up to offer their donations.
This event gives the youth of the area something to keep themselves occupied and allows the community to show how important they are by providing all these activities and food without charge. No doubt many who will attend this event will be younger children based on the types of entertainment offered, but it sounds as though there will be something to appeal to every taste and age.
The yearly festival will probably attract young people from all over the area, including nearby Manchester. The organizers are sure to be investing in services like flyer printing to help get the word out about this free festival, due to the diverse functions of flyers as a newspaper insert, an artifact to be posted in local community centers, or one handed out on the street to passers-by.
The 16th annual Youth Day festival will take place at the Ellisville Elks Lodge on May 4 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, and is free to attend. For more information, contact the lodge at 636-227-0404.
