Fourth annual Earth Day Expo coming to the Farmers’ Market
March 20, 2013 by James
Kirkwood Living Green is presenting its annual Earth Day Expo in late April.
The expo will feature speakers, demonstrations, and environmentally-related vendors. Topics of discussion by experts will include urban growing, gardening, and community gardens. Vendors will likely be selling all manner of environmentally friendly products, gardening tools, and outdoor accessories. In addition, local environmental and governmental organizations will no doubt be providing informational literature.
Visitors from all over the area, including nearby Manchester, will probably find their way to the expo. Organizers for this kind of event often work with local printing companies to design and print items such as flyers, which will help to spread the word about upcoming expos throughout the region. Flyers are quite effective in advertising and can easily reach a large number of people in a very short period of time, with brochure printers also performing a similar role.
The expo will be taking place at the Farmers’ Market Greenway, which will open for its new season on April 6 and run right through to September. It was founded by the City of Kirkwood in 1976 and is located in Downtown Kirkwood. Open seven days a week, the Earth Day Expo is only one of several special events which are held at the market each year.
The 4th Earth Day Expo will take place on April 27 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. For more information, call 314-822-0084 or visit the Downtown Kirkwood website. Admission is free.
