WhatTheyThink is accepting applications for the fourth annual Environmental Innovation Awards. Printers from Manchester to Miami and beyond are invited to apply in any or all of four categories: Environmental Sustainability and Your Community, Environmental Sustainability and Your Plant, Environmental Sustainability and Your Processes and Beyond Environmental Sustainability. The awards will recognize companies that are involved environmentally sustainable community outreach; using green manufacturing or environmentally aware technologies; implementing processes that are kind to the environment or using creative, cutting-edge environmentally sustainable solutions. There is also a fifth award to go to a thought leader in the green printing space. Applications must be submitted by March 23.
According to WhatTheyThink: “Large or small, companies in the printing industry are going beyond certification and are implementing highly creative solutions. The goal of our Environmental Innovation Awards is to identify those companies on the cutting edge of sustainability solutions—the true thought leaders.”
The awards are open to those involved in graphic communications across America, regardless of the size of the firm. The awards take place in partnership with Unisource Worldwide. Their goal is to highlight companies that are being creative with environmentally aware solutions. The winners will be announced on April 23. Winners will be presented with their awards in Atlanta and will be showcased across the WhatTheyThink web network. They will take part in a conference on issues of sustainability and will be interviewed on video for WhatThetThink, with full rights to use the video for their own marketing. Application forms for the awards are available on the WhatTheyThink website.
