Annual Fair St. Louis on its way back

June 27, 2013 by

The annual Fair St. Louis is returning to the city for three days this July.

The fair will be preceded by a block party the day before and it will have food, local bands, and a balloon glow display. The fair itself will feature musical performances from such well-known artists as Trace Adkins, Bret Michaels, and Counting Crows.

Throughout the three days, there will be several air shows, runs, food for purchase, and a parade. The fair will also feature a children’s area, a cultural stage, and local vendors. Children will be treated to special performances and will be able to take part in many hands-on activities. Vendors will likely be selling all types of merchandise, including this year’s fair T-shirt. There will also be a fireworks display at the end of every day.

The Freedom four-miler and the Family Fun Run will take place on the first day of the festival beginning at 7:00 am. This will be followed by the 136th annual Veiled Prophet parade at 9:30 am, with this year’s theme being ‘It’s about Time’.

No doubt visitors from all around the area, including nearby Manchester, will want to visit the fair. Local print companies have most likely provided the organizers with product such as flyers to help advertise the fair throughout the area.

The Fair St. Louis will take place at the Gateway Arch from July 4-6. Admission is free. The block party will take place at 14th and Olive from 9:30 AM on July 3. For more information, call 314-434-3434.
