The Downtown Farmington Founders Festival will take place from July 20 – 21, with this year’s theme being “Go play in the streets.” This is a free event.

The festival will feature musical acts such as a steel drum band, the Merry Music Maker, and the Meijer Family. There will also be food concessions serving hot dogs, pizza, and barbequed food. Other fun-packed attractions include the Crafters Marketplace, movies under the stars, a range of family-friendly activities, and the Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market. Children will have lots of fun in the Go Playground, while live raptors and mammals will also be appearing in the Go Green area. A parade will also take place on Grand River Avenue on July 21 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. There will be something to appeal to everyone. In addition, many downtown stores and restaurants will be having sales and special events.

The Crafters Marketplace and the Farmers and Artisans Market will be selling a wide variety of items such as homemade one-of-a-kind gifts, fresh fruit and vegetables and unique artworks. Vendors will no doubt be working with Farmington printing companies to help them to prepare for the festival. Banner printing and sign printing services will help them decorate their area and make it more appealing to passers-by.

The Downtown Farmington Founders Festival is the perfect way to celebrate on a summer weekend, offering lots of fun for the entire family and the chance to discover a new store, sample a restaurant, or relish in the amount of artistic talent in the community.
