Adults to get wordy in competition

July 18, 2012 by

The All-Star Adult Spelling Championship will take place at the Memorial United Methodist Church on August 10 from 5:30 pm – 10:00 pm. Tickets to watch the event are $5 for adults and $3 for students.

There will be ten teams of three adults competing in the spelling competition. Fees to take part are $175 per team. Before the competition, there will be lots of food, games, a pep rally for the teams, and a silent auction featuring baseball memorabilia. There will be a trophy and a pennant for the top team and a prize for the best fan club.

This event could be a great team-building exercise for a company. It is important that all employees in a company feel that they are worthy and appreciated and it is equally important that they work well together to help ensure the success of the business. Events such as this, in which they must work together as a team, can only increase camaraderie between employees and improve their relationship with management.

Businesses might choose to form a team of their best three spellers and encourage the rest of the employees to become its fan club. Farmington printing companies can help them prepare by providing banner printing and sign printing services. Since the best fan club also wins a prize, the more they have to wave or support, the better.

As an added bonus, this unique and fun event should raise a lot of funds for a good cause, with proceeds going towards the American Heart Association.
