4th annual Art Walk in Farmington
February 14, 2012 by James
On Friday, March 23rd, 2012, Farmington’s 4th Annual Art Walk will take place at The Joseph Sisters Gallery, which is located inside Miss Pattys) at 109 North Main Street, Sainte Genevieve, Missouri. The event opens to the public at 6:00 pm and runs until 9:00 pm.
This unique event takes place over a three block square radius of the main gallery. Joseph Sisters Gallery features mainly contemporary art, but the art on display for this event is spread out through fourteen different galleries. Each artist that is present at one of the galleries will showcase their work in that gallery for an entire month.
Printing companies have been busy preparing the required stationary, so that when the art walk takes place you can pick up business cards and brochures from the various galleries and artists. Although this is a free event and everyone is welcome, comments are welcome as well. Artists love to hear opinions from visitors about their work, so don’t be shy. This is a rain or shine event, so if it is a little wet, be sure to pack an umbrella. Artists will be in the gallery to speak with those who attend.
And, while you are touring the various galleries, don’t forget to stop by one of the many restaurants or pubs. During this event many of these establishments stay open and visitors enjoy a dinner out. If you are interested in participating in the event, or would like additional information about which artists will be present, please visit Joseph Sisters Gallery website.
