Pair of Columbia events to raise the September tempo

Columbia is a city that likes to keep its residents busy, interested, and entertained, and two very different events coming up in the city should attract lots of citizens. They are the Wellness Health Expo and Paws in the Park.

The former event will feature informative lectures, free health screenings, and a variety of vendors who will likely be selling such items as fitness accessories, vitamin supplements, clothing and health products. It should interest those who wish to maintain or improve their health and fitness.
It all takes place at the Hilton Garden Inn Conference Center on September 8 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Admission is $5. For more information call 573-814-5464.

Shortly after that, the 10th annual Paws in the Pink is a fundraiser for Second Chance – an animal rescue organization. Activities taking place will include a 5K run, animal adoptions, contests, guest speakers, and vendors. There will also be a Dock Dogs competition, and it is likely that vendors will be selling pet-related items like food, clothing, and accessories.

Paws in the Park will be held in Stephens Park on September 14 from 8:00 am – 5:30 pm. Registration fees for the 5K run are $5 or $10 per family, and participants will receive a bandana and a goodie bag. For more information about the event, call 573-355-1414.

Both events will no doubt be widely advertised in the community, which might encourage the organizers to invest in services such as flyer printing from Columbia printing services.
