St. Paul gets ready to face off

Hockey is one of the most popular sports in North America and is big business. The ‘Let’s Play Hockey Expo’ is the largest consumer hockey-related trade show in the United States and is returning to St. Paul for a 24th year.

Usually attracting about 40,000 people per year, the expo will feature exhibitors and vendors selling the latest in equipment, clothing, skates, collectables, and training programs. Representatives from hockey schools and camps will be in attendance to inform the public about what they have to offer. Visitors can try out some of the latest equipment, pick up free promotional items, take part in prize draws, participate in free clinics, and enjoy watching a hockey tournament. They will also be able to sample some tasty food.

There will also be celebrity appearances by former professional hockey players Phil Housley and David Tanabe. For those who are fans of the sport, this should be a great way to spend the day and there will no doubt be something to appeal to every member of the family.

Companies taking part in the expo will probably be working with St. Paul printing companies to prepare. Those who will be there to provide information on their programs or schools will want to have a brochure or booklet to hand out to those who are interested.

The Let’s Play Hockey Expo will take place at the Saint Paul RiverCentre from March 8 – 9. Admission is free. For more information, contact Doug Johnson at 612-729-0023.
