The Rochester Contemporary Art Center will be showing the exhibit ‘Dirty Dozen: the Outlaw Printmakers’ from April to May.
This exhibit will probably appeal not just to the general public but those who are currently employed by rochester printing companies or design organizations. It will allow them to see current events in printmaking and may inspire them.
The opening reception for the exhibit will feature a print fair in which guests will have an opportunity to purchase works by some of the members of the Outlaw Printmakers. Some of the members of the group include Tom Huck, Sean Starwars, Bill Fick and Drive by Press. There will also be an Artist Talk feature some members of the group on April 5 beginning at 1:00 PM.
A related display is also being show at the Center. ‘Survey in Print: 84 years of editions from the Print Club of Rochester’ is a special LAB Space exhibition.
Also taking place during the run of the exhibit is the 3rd annual Art of the Mix fundraising party. This features cocktails, food, and plenty of art and artists on display. Admission is limited to 90 guests. This will take place on April 16 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm, with tickets priced at $55 for Center members or $60 for non-members.
