Canine conclusion to March

No Dogs Left Behind, a rescue center for dogs located in Brooklyn Center just outside of New Brighton, has announced several events that it will be hosting before the end of the month.

The first of them will be held tomorrow, March 22, at the Petsmart in Maple Grove. It is an Adoption Day at which people can meet some of the dogs looking for homes and adopt them on the day. Hours will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.

The following Saturday, March 29, there will be a Dog Olympics to be held at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine Equine Center. Participants in the event can bring their own dogs so they can compete in a variety of fun games, such as doggy relay races, musical sit, and a competition for best tricks. The top dogs in each of the events will be awarded prizes.

In addition, the event will feature demonstrations of dog agility, disc dogs, drafting, and other dog-related sports. There will also be educational opportunities, with booths about pet health and fun activities like face painting for kids, carnival games, and a doggy photo booth. The event runs from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm and tickets cost $10.

No doubt the organization is using poster printing to let the community become aware of these events so they can consider taking in one of its many dogs and puppies.
