Style of the 70s to come to Bloomington

December 26, 2012 by

The Bloomington Chamber of Commerce has decided that the theme of their annual fundraising gala this year will be ‘That 70s Gala’. Those attending are encouraged to dress in the 70s style. The evening will feature a cocktail reception, a formal dinner, a silent auction, a dessert auction, and live entertainment. Sponsorships of $500 – $5,000 are available and sponsors will be recognized in all advertising for the event.

The 70s were a time of good music and interesting clothes, bringing back memories of The Brady Bunch, Donny Osmond, and disco music. It is also a decade in which anything seemed to go in fashion and often did.

In addition to sharing a love for the 70s, those businesspersons attending will also find this event an excellent networking opportunity. While the main reason for the event is social, there will more than likely be time for business peers from the area, including Burnsville, to exchange business cards. No doubt many planning to attend will be ordering a new business card printing order in advance to make sure they have enough cards to exchange. There will be no hard sell but there is likely to be plenty of time to discuss business over dinner.

The 24th annual Bloomington Chamber of Commerce ‘That 70s Gala’ will take place at the Westin Edina Galleria on January 26 from 6:00 pm to midnight. Tickets are $79 each or $790 for a table of 10. For more information, call 952-888-8818.
