Music festival to benefit the YMCA

July 16, 2013 by

The Lakefront Music Fest is taking place over two days later this week in Prior Lake. The festival is a presentation of the Prior Lake Rotary and a portion of all proceeds will go to benefit the YMCA.

The festival is one of the largest music festivals in the country and it will feature some well-known local and national rock and country music artists such as heavy metal four-piece Firehouse, country pair Montgomery Gentry, rock and blues singer and guitarist Casey James, glam metal noise-makers Warrant, and rocker and Celebrity Apprentice star Bret Michaels. Audience members must bring their own chairs and blankets.

The Lakefront Music Fest needs about 500 volunteers to ensure that things run smoothly, and those who are accepted as volunteers will receive a T-shirt and free admission to the event. In order to get as many volunteers as they need, it is likely that organizers are widely advertising this event throughout the community, and to nearby towns such as Burnsville. This probably involves investing in services such as poster or flyer printing services from local print companies which will produce a product that can be distributed quickly and easily.

The Lakefront Music Fest will take place at Lakefront Park in Prior Lake from July 19-20. Admission is $20 for both days in advance or $20 at the gate each day and free to those aged 15 and under. For more information contact Heidi Freisinger, Director of Events Planning, at 612-371-8702.
