Businesswomen’s Monday to give tips of successful speechmaking

December 29, 2013 by

Twin Cities Metro Woman magazine holds luncheons for Burnsville and area professional women on the third Monday of each month. January’s luncheon will feature Sue Henry of ‘Sue Henry Speaks’, who will present a workshop called ‘Speak your way to success’.

Ms. Henry is set to talk about such subjects as finding and using your niche, engaging and compelling your customers, selling without hard sell, repurposing your products, and following up. She will give a couple of tips for each of these topics.

The luncheons feature workshops and talks presented by successful, professional women in the area. They are also a chance for businesswomen to make professional connections with their peers.

Those who attend the monthly events also have the opportunity to showcase their products on exhibit tables. Tables cost $75 for Metro Woman members and $99 for non-members.

There will be time after lunch for networking among attendees. It’s likely that many of the women, who are expected to come from nearby areas such as Burnsville, will decide to place a new business card printing order before attending, thus making sure they have enough cards to exchange with those they meet, and that their contact information is current.

The Metro Woman luncheon will take place at the Chart House Restaurant and Event Center in Lakeville on January 20 from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. Tickets are $25 for members and $35 for guests. For more information, or to rent an exhibit table, call 952-201-6819.
