Annual Chamber Classic takes place June 18

June 1, 2012 by

Bloomington professionals have a lot going on with the chamber’s regular monthly meeting, along with the 39th Annual Bloomington Chamber Golf Classic, taking place in the coming weeks.

The closest of these events is the Bloomington Monthly Membership Meeting. Besides giving members a chance to renew old acquaintances and do some networking in general, these hosted get-togethers are almost always good for a bit of information as well. By now, most residents are at least somewhat familiar with the governor’s support for improvements to Minnesota’s tax system. In many respects, taxes are an example of how regulations can impact the daily operations of a company. From 8:00 am to 9:30 am on June 7, people will have the option of hearing what the Revenue Commissioner has to say on this subject.

Out of all the events being held during the month, however, the 39th Annual Bloomington Chamber Classic is the one that has probably occupied printing companies the most. In many respects the highlight of June for Bloomington’s business community, members and guests alike have the option of being able to join in on the fun by teeing off on the course. Sponsored by the US Bank and expected to go from noon until 7:00 pm, those hoping to be at the Minnesota Valley Country Club on June 18 will have to plan ahead.

With tickets going at $175 for both guests and members, this all-day event is also expected to include dinner and a silent auction. Since registration is supposed to close on June 13, however, interested attendees will need to register soon.
