Holidays come early in Lawrence

The holidays are still some way off but many people are already wondering what gifts they can buy for their loved ones. With two events on the way in the Lawrence area in November that will offer lots of unique and handmade gifts for sale, they do not have to panic too much about making sure their shopping plans are sorted.

The 36th Holiday Bazaar will take place in Lawrence at the Community Building on November 18 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. A free-to-attend presentation by the Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department, the bazaar will include many items for sale that are appropriate for holiday gifts, with jewelry, toys, and handmade clothing bound to be among them. All products sold must be handmade and no commercial kits are allowed and tables can be rented for $65 each. For more information, call 785-832-7940.

Soon after, from November 23 – 25, the Holiday Art Sale will be held at the Lumberyard Arts Center in Baldwin City from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. The sale will feature the artwork of local artists working at the Lumberyards Arts Center. For more information on this sale, which is also free to attend, call 785-594-3186.

It would seem likely that organizers of the events in Baldwin City and Lawrence will be working with local printing companies to get the word out about these events. Flyer printing services will ensure that people in the community are aware of these two sales and can plan their holiday shopping appropriately.
