The Figge Moline Young Artists Reception coming up later this month will honor the students who have work appearing at this year’s ‘Young Artists Exhibition’, and features the works of students in elementary schools from seven individual school districts.
This year’s Young Artists Exhibition is a great opportunity for family and friends to come out and support the artists participating in this year’s showcase. It is being presented through a partnership with the schools and Figge Moline Museum and will feature more than 500 of the area’s students offering various media in the art classification.
A student from each of the seven schools will be selected and receive a scholarship to attend a Figge class. The exhibition is sponsored in part by the Hubbell-Waterman Foundation Fund and the Brand Boeshaar Foundation Fund, with additional support provide by the Moline Foundation. It may offer inspiration for any budding graphic design or printing company workers in the area.
Admission to this exhibition is free to teachers, participating students, and their family and friends. The Figge Moline Young Artists Reception will be held on Sunday, March 16, from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm at the Figge Art Museum located at 225 W 2nd Street in Davenport, Iowa.
