On Monday, May 14th The Rock Island High School Orchestra will be performing on the RME community stage located at 129 N. Main Street in Davenport, Iowa. This performance will take place from 6pm to 7pm.
Rock Island High School Orchestra, a group of students from Washington, Edison, and Rock Island High School. Each member of this group is also a member of their own high school’s orchestra and plays a variety of different instruments. This group specializes in rock music and specialize in covers from The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, and Coldplay. Recently this group performed with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Mark Wood, which was a real honor for the students. Each student, in this group, practices many hours each week and this concert promises to be special to each person who attends. As a high school orchestra this group is considered one of the best in the region and performs a number of shows each year, some free and some as paid accompaniment. Guests attending this event will enjoy some of the best rock they have heard in a while, which will have their fingers snapping and their toes tapping to the great beat. Seating is limited, so guests are asked to arrive early.
Flyer printing and brochure printing for this event may already be complete, as this is a free event to the public and everyone is welcome to attend. For additional information about this event, please visit the RME Community Stage website or call RME at 563-326-1333.
