Quad Cities Chamber will be busy this month

February 2, 2012 by

As always, the Quad Cities Chamber has many opportunities for its members to reach out and interact with one another this February.

It starts off fairly early with the Executives Club meeting taking place tomorrow, February 3rd. The topic being discussed at this meeting is a subject that matters to business owners and executives alike: the economic forecast of 2012. Members of the Executives Club will be able to hear the educated opinion of James W. Victor, financial analyst and senior vice president of the Victor/Volrath Group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.

As a group that’s “exclusively for Presidents, CEOs and Executives”, acquiring quality professional contacts is a pretty straightforward matter here. Whether through the sponsorship of an event like this one or by becoming a member, it can’t hurt to bring some business card printing in the interests of networking subtly.

Another option for professionals more interested in attending a Davenport-based meet-up is the Network F.I.R.S.T. event. According to the chamber website, young businesspeople can:

“Join The Network’s F.I.R.S.T. Committee for our first Winter Village Crawl featuring the 10th Anniversary Scavenger Hunt! We’ll begin at 11th Street Precinct and end at Grumpy’s in the Village of East Davenport as we explore a scavenger hunt for The Network: Young Professionals of the Quad Cities’ 10th Anniversary! Join us from 7-10:00pm on February 10th for an evening of fun, networking & celebration!”

Free for members and costing a mere $5.00 for non-members, the scavenger hunt is one of many affordable ways to network through the Chamber this month.
