It’s Oscar Night in Indiana – United Way’s Oscar Night America
February 3, 2012 by James
On Sunday, February 26, 2012 the Indianapolis United Way will be kicking off its Rio Carnival to unmask your senses, starting at 5:30 p.m. This event will take place at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown, 350 West Maryland Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana. The Oscar Night event is sponsored by the Citizen’s Energy Group.
This is a state sanctioned Oscar event and it is a great way to help the cause, so grab a few friends and help raise funds for a great cause. This year’s event has a Brazilian theme and features some traditional Brazilian appetizers and beverages, games, silent auction, and the academy awards. It is great fun for everyone.
To date, printing companies have supplied flyers, posters, and tickets so that this event is easily identified. The proceeds from this event will go to the United Way’s educational programs and initiatives. Some of the United Way’s programs include Early Literacy, Kindergarten Readiness, Mentoring and Reading Tutors, as well as advanced Math Instruction. These great programs have been instrumental in ensuring that children receive a head start in school and graduate from grade school, high school and university or college with continued success.
This is the 6th year the Indianapolis United Way has hosted this event and it is promising to be another great success. Tickets are available immediately and range between $55.00 and $100.00. A sponsorship program is also available for anyone who is interested in participating in this great event.
