DIY making it big in Indianapolis – Woodworking and DIY Showcase
January 12, 2012 by Mark
From January 20th – 22nd, the 29th annual Indianapolis Woodworking and D.I.Y. Show will be held at the Toyota Blue Ribbon Pavilion within the Indiana State Fairgrounds located at 1202 East 38th St. Indianapolis, Indiana. The show takes place Friday from 12-6, Saturday from 10-6, and Sunday from 10-4.
As in past years, this year’s showcase boasts seminars and sponsors worldwide that join forces to educate and share their knowledge of woodworking and do it yourself projects for the office, home, outdoor living and garden spaces. This year also brings professional craftsmen and global tool manufacturers, plus offers the new “showoff showcase” which encourages the exhibiting craftsmen, from every level, to compete by presenting new creative projects. One of the main focuses of this show is to interact with other business people and visitors in attendance.
One of this year’s featured guest spokesperson is Rough Cut’s Tommy MacDonald, who has signed on to do 10 Woodworking and D.I.Y shows this year throughout the U.S. It can be a great idea for businesses to attend these showcases and exchange information with the exhibitors. Be sure to get a business card printing run beforehand, to ensure you have a sufficient supply for the day.
As the main focus of this show is education, the exhibitors encourage adults to bring their children so they can try some hands-on activities. Admission to this event is $12 per adult with children 16 and under, accompanied by an adult, free of charge.
