Legoland offers stacks of holiday fun for the family

The Legoland Discovery Center in Schaumburg is holding a couple of events before the year end that will be suitable for the entire family.

The Holly Jolly Holiday celebration has been running all month and will end on December 31. It features a variety of seasonal themed games, LEGO building challenges, a winter scavenger hunt for penguins, and photo opportunities with a life-sized Santa Claus and snowmen made of bricks.

As this comes to an end, the fun will continue with New Year’s Eve celebrations. Guests will have a chance to contribute to the LEGO wish board mosaic, which will be on display at the center for all of 2014. They will also be able to participate in several creative challenges and another scavenger hunt.

Since LEGO appeals to all generation, it is likely that these events will attract visitors from all over the area, including nearby Wheeling. When organizations need to advertise such events, they often turn to local printing companies to help. With custom made posters or flyer printing, material can be distributed throughout the area for very little extra cost.

The New Year’s Eve celebration is taking place on both December 31 and January 1. Admission to the center is $15 per person (or $12 if arriving after 3:00 pm) and free to those ages two and under. A family pass is also available for $85 which includes admission for four people, a pizza lunch, a souvenir photograph, and two activity packs.
