Flower show returns to Chicago just in time for spring

February 27, 2014 by

The Chicago Flower and Garden Show is returning to the city for 8 days this March.

On the evening before, a reception called ‘Evening in Bloom’ will raise funds for local charities. Guests will enjoy appetizers, drinks, and live entertainment while they get a sneak preview of the show.

The show itself will feature more than 100 vendors, featured gardens, floral displays, celebrity chefs, and a children’s play area. There is also set to be a cake decorating contest, potting parties, how to garden workshops, and seminars, which will tackle such subjects as dealing with a small garden, growing edible items, and modernizing a garden.

This event is being widely advertised in the Chicago area and the show will likely attract visitors from all over Cook County, including nearby Wheeling. Organizers often invest in services like flyer printing to create a product that will help advertise such events to interested locals.

The Chicago Flower and Garden Show will take place at the Navy Pier from March 15 to 23. Tickets are $17 for weekdays, $19 for weekends, and $5 for those aged 4 to 12; tickets bought online are $2 cheaper for adults.

Evening in Bloom is being held on March 14 from 6:30 – 9:30 PM. Tickets are $125 each. Call 312-595-7437 for more information.
