The Port Clinton Art Festival will take place from August 25-26. This is a free, juried art festival which regularly draws about 250,000 people every year.
There will be over 260 artists displaying at the festival in all genres such as photography, sculpture, pottery, ceramics, jewelry, painting and printmaking. There will also be artists demonstrations and techniques discussions. In addition, there will be all sorts of children’s activities including an art scavenger hunt, musical entertainment and live performers. The festival is unique in that it has a youth art division for children between the ages of 6 and 16 who can sell their artworks. The booth fee is $60.
The festival attracts people from all over the area including nearby Wheeling. No doubt the organizers of the event will be working with local printing companies to prepare for this popular event. Banners hung throughout the area will separate it from the rest of the city and add an air of festivity to the proceedings. In addition, those renting booths can avail themselves of various services such as poster and banner printing in order to make their booths appear even more attractive.
This is not the only popular event happening in Highland Park that weekend. The Taste of Highland Park is running form August 24-26. Those who take part in this event will get to sample food and drinks from local restaurants.
Summer is the perfect time for events such as these too; they get people out into the community and allow them to see all that their city has to offer.
