Weekend walk to support worthy cause
May 30, 2013 by Sarah
The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer provides everyone in this community and the surrounding town and villages with the opportunity to come out and help support an excellent cause.
A chance to raise funds towards a cure, as well as to get out and enjoy some fresh air and exercise, it seems likely that poster printing, brochure printing, and flyer printing may have used to share the walk information with all the communities in this region.
Families are invited to come out and join in the annual Breast Cancer Walk. A ceremony will be held after the walk and parking for those staying for the ceremony can be located at Waldron Deck Parking Garage for $20 a day or $40 overnight parking. Parking at Soldier Field is complimentary, although cash donations will be accepted. A shuttle service is provided from the Hyatt Regency O’Hare to Soldier Field and will run from 4:00 am to 6:00 am. It will return on Sunday to the Hyatt Regency O’Hare from Soldier Field, after the Closing Ceremony has taken place. The walk will begin at Soldier Field Stadium and is a ‘rain or shine’ event.
Registration for this walk is $65 per person and advance registration is requested online. The walk will be taking place this Saturday, June 1, beginning at 6:30 am at Soldier Field Stadium located at 1410 South Museum Campus Drive in Chicago, Illinois, a short drive from Warrenville.
