Warrenville in for tree-mendous weekend

April 24, 2013 by

The Warrenville Arbor Day Celebration is designed for the whole family and is being presented by the Warrenville Park District this weekend, while promising to be entertaining and educational for everyone who attends. While supplies last, guests can also take home a free plant.

Poster printing, flyer printing, and banner printing may have been completed by local printing companies to promote this entertaining day to the residents in this community and the surrounding areas.

During this celebration, there will be a tree dedication, as well as door prizes, musical performances, guest speakers, and exhibits available for people to enjoy. Complimentary refreshments will be available too.

The trees and shrubs being given away to guests are native plants and include flowering dogwood, tulip tree, red buckeye, and eastern white pine. Activities will take place around the Arbor Day tree which is presented in the Arbor Day Memory Book. Rain barrels will be available to purchase at this event as well, which can be used to help collect water and reserve water supplies naturally. There will be environmental and awareness literature available throughout the event as well, with local brochure printers having no doubt been hard at work.

Admission is free and everyone is invited to join the celebration. It will take place this Saturday, April 27, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Warrenville Park District Recreation Center. To learn more about this event, please visit the Warrenville Park District’s website or call Ana Vainisi at 630-836-3027.
