Warrenville gets jolly with Holly Days
November 29, 2013 by Sarah
‘Holly Days’ is the city’s kickoff to the annual holiday celebration and offers something for everyone in the family, as well as time spent with Santa, marking his official entry into the community. Printing services were most likely used to share information about this festival celebration with people in the community.
This annual celebration is usually held the first Friday evening in December and is sponsored by the Warrenville Park District. A large bonfire will be lit and people warm their spirits with hot chocolate and cookies. There are free horse and carriage rides for everyone and live bands to keep everyone entertained until Santa arrives.
A number of raffles will be held during the event and the school dance troups, live singers, and seasonal characters will be on hand to delight the crowds. As part of the evening’s celebration, the holiday lights are kicked on with a spectacular display of colors for people passing by on Route 56 to see. This looks likely to be a great way to kick off the holiday season, and allow the whole family to enjoy some Christmas cheer.
A free event for everyone, the Holly Days celebration will be happening on Friday, December 6 at the Warrenville Park District Recreational Center located at 3 S 260 Warren Avenue in Warrenville, Illinois. To find out about the official start time, or more about this celebration, please visit the Warrenville Park District website or give it a call at 630-393-7279.
