Warrenville Bike Rodeo

On Saturday, May 19th the Warrenville Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission, known as BPAC, will be hosting a “Bike Rodeo” in the City Hall Parking Lot at Stafford Place around the Gazebo, in Warrenville, Illinois, in conjunction with the Warrenville Park District. This event will last from 9am to 12pm.
This is the 7th annual Bike Rodeo that is being sponsored by the Warrenville Park District, Liberty Mutual Insurance, the City of Warrenville, and the Warrenville Public Library. This event will kick off around the Gazebo, and each of the above sponsors have a collection of fun giveaways, as well as some quality educational products and information about bike safety for the children. The kids will be able to participate in the bike safety course ride. The police will be available to register all the bike’s and children participating.
As another feature of this event, guests are asked to bring in bikes that are in disrepair or no longer used so that the Working Bikes Cooperative, a non-profit, which converts bikes found in the waste stream of Chicago into useable and sound bikes for children who need a ride. Local print shops will have been on hand to assist with promotional flyer printing and banner printing for this event. This is a no-charge event and will take place rain or shine, so parents are encouraged to dress their children appropriately.
